What you can demonstrate
- →Long-press panic sends an SMS with a Google Maps link to three stored numbers
- →Repeats every 3 minutes up to 5 times; a second long-press cancels and says so
- →Last known fix is held in RTC memory so an indoor demo still sends a location
- →The report's limitations chapter measures indoor GPS, coverage and battery life

Questions
- Why does the module reset during network registration?
- It should not, on this kit. SIM800L pulls 2 A transient bursts and must be fed straight from the 18650, never from a 3.3V pin or an AMS1117, with a 2200 µF low-ESR capacitor at its own pads. Both are wired that way here, and the reason is printed on a card in the box.
- Is the 18650 cell in the box?
- No. Lithium cells are restricted on courier and one swollen cell in a parcel is a serious problem. The holder, the TP4056 charge board and the wiring are all fitted — buy the cell locally for about ₹150–250.
- Will it work indoors?
- GPS will not obtain a cold fix indoors; outdoors it takes 30–90 seconds. The firmware stores the last known fix and marks the SMS as last known with an age, so the demo never fails silently. This is stated plainly in the report.
- Does the report come with it?
- Yes. Every kit ships with the editable report (.docx and .pdf), a 20-slide PPT, circuit and block diagrams, commented source with pinned library versions, 25 viva questions with answers, and a printed wiring sheet in the box.
- Can I change the topic or add a feature?
- Tell us on WhatsApp before you order. Small firmware changes are usually fine; a different sensor means a different kit and a different price.
- Is there cash on delivery?
- No. Prepaid only — UPI, card or netbanking. It keeps the price where it is.
- Will the report match my college format?
- The .docx is unlocked and editable, so you add your college name, roll number and guide. The chapter skeleton follows the standard Anna University / AICTE structure.
